National Wages Council wants feedback on wage issues

The National Wages Council (NWC) is asking the public for feedback on wage-related issues to help it determine wage guidelines for the year.

Members of the public are encouraged to share their views by April 10 on what can be included in the annual wage recommendations, which the council is meeting over the next two months to discuss, the council said in a statement Thursday.

It will consider areas such as Singapore's economic performance and the global, regional and local economic outlook. It will also look at Singapore's competitiveness, labour market conditions, inflation and productivity, the council said.

The NWC consists of employer, union and government representatives. Views can be sent to its secretary at 1500 Bendemeer Road, #03-01, Ministry of Manpower Services Centre, Singapore 339946 or through e-mail at mom_lrwd@mom.gov.sg
