SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will be conducting the Comprehensive Household Survey from May 18 to July 31 this year.
The national survey will poll 33,000 households. It comprises two studies: the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey and the General Household Survey.
The survey seeks to collect key information on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population to help in the formulation of policies and programmes, MOM said.
The Ministry will notify all households selected for the survey by post.
Households with Internet access are encouraged to participate in the survey online via the Manpower Survey Online System.
Households who prefer not to participate online can opt for a phone interview by calling the survey hotline on 6317-1009 from Monday to Friday (8.30am to 9pm) or Saturday and Sunday (8.30am to 5pm).
If households cannot be contacted by telephone, MOM interviewers will visit the respective houses to request a face-to-face interview.
All interviewers will carry an identification card issued by MOM, and households may verify their identity by calling the MOM contact centre on 6438-5122.
