A Myanmar national was charged in court on Friday with the murder of an engineer at Penjuru Lane.

Nay Aung, 24, allegedly caused the death of a compatriot, Mr Ko Ko Maung, 51, at the premises in Jurong on Wednesday evening.

The prosecution applied for him to be remanded at Central division lock-up for a week for further investigation.

The case will be mentioned on June 7. If convicted, he faces the death penalty.
