SINGAPORE - Thousands of Singaporeans turned up to pay their respects to Singapore's first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, who died on March 23 at the age of 91.
Some headed for the Singapore General Hospital, where he had died at 3.18am after being warded since on Feb 5. Others turned up at the Istana where a condolence board had been set up.
Many more dropped in at Tanjong Pagar Community Club. Mr Lee had been an MP for Tanjong Pagar.
