SINGAPORE - Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew was a man who made a difference, and shaped the identity of Singapore as a society, said President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
He was "a man who was devoted to ensuring that Singapore succeeded when no one thought we could," Dr Tan said in his eulogy to Mr Lee on Sunday.
"But we do not mourn alone. Mr Lee's impact stretched far beyond our shores.
"He raised the profile of our Republic, earning respect and admiration around the world."
Here is the transcript of President Tan's eulogy.
