A 2m-wide sinkhole was seen on Clementi Road near the National University of Singapore yesterday afternoon. A motorcyclist almost fell in, swerving away just in time.

A motorist who sent photos of the sinkhole to citizen journalism website Stomp said the motorcyclist was sent to hospital in an ambulance.
