Motorcyclist injured after being hit by car and bouncing off another car in Bukit Panjang

SINGAPORE - A 30-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital on Tuesday (Sept 5) morning, after being hit by a car at a junction, bouncing off another car, and landing on the road.

The police were alerted to the accident at 8.16am at the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) sent an ambulance to the scene. The motorcyclist was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital conscious.

Police investigations are ongoing.

In a video uploaded on the Facebook page of road safety interest group Roads.sg by user David Wong, the motorcycle could be seen turning right from Bukit Panjang Road onto Bukit Panjang Ring Road, when it was hit by a white car.

The impact sent the rider flying, while the bike was crushed between the white car and another black car.

The rider also appeared to bounce off the side of the black car before landing on the road.

The motorcycle was in pieces.
