Motorcyclist dies in Tuas West Road accident

SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after an accident involving a motorcycle and a lorry along Tuas West Road, towards Tuas South Avenue 2, on Wednesday morning (Oct 19).

The police were alerted to the accident at 7.42am. The male motorcyclist was pinned under the lorry and was released by the Singapore Civil Defence Force using rescue tools.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The 33-year-old lorry driver was arrested for causing death by a negligent act. Police investigations are ongoing.
