SINGAPORE - A 53-year-old male motorcyclist from Malaysia was killed in an accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on Saturday (July 30) afternoon.

The accident, which occurred at around 4.06pm near the expressway's Woodlands Avenue 3 exit in the direction of Woodlands Checkpoint, involved a car and the victim's motorcycle.

A police spokesman said the victim was conveyed unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Photos put up by citizen journalism website Stomp showed the motorcyclist lying face down on the road next to a black Honda car.

A section of the two right-most lanes on the BKE were cordoned off, resulting in a long line of cars and motorcycles.
