SINGAPORE - The national Jobs Bank has accumulated more than 52,000 job vacancies, less than a month after its launch.

The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), which manages the portal, said that two in three of these positions are for professionals, managers and executives, with 13 per cent of all of them offering a monthly salary of more than $8,000.

The portal started with 16,000 job postings at its official launch on July 14 but this figure had trebled, as of Thursday.

More than 62,800 applications have been made since its trial launch in May, the agency said.

Mrs Choo Lee See, senior director of the WDA's workforce services group, said: "As part of ongoing refinements to the Jobs Bank, WDA will explore ways to feature information such as in-demand jobs and success stories of the Jobs Bank."
