Of the 1.25 million funpacks that are being packed distributed in celebration of Singapore's golden jubilee, some 36,000 have been packed under the 'A Funpack From Me To You' project. Under this initiative, about 500 volunteer packers, some of whom are members of welfare organisations such as the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore and the Down Syndrome Association, have inserted a specially hand-signed note into each pack.

SINGAPORE - More than a million National Day SG50 funpacks for resident households have already been packed, with nearly 1,000 people involved in the process each day.

Packing alongside soldiers at Kranji Camp 3 are volunteers from various groups, including voluntary welfare organisations such as the Down Syndrome Association.

Each bag includes items such as game packs and national flags.

Another 300,000 packs, with extra items such as food and water, which will be given out during the parade and preview shows, are also being packed at the same facility.

Five days after the packing started on July 3, the organising committee began delivery of the first funpacks to grassroots groups. Residents in various constituencies, such as Tampines, began getting their packs this week.
