The Ministry of Home Affairs is redoubling its efforts to counter the threat of terrorism that poses a heightened danger today, Minister K. Shanmugam told Parliament.

The size of its Emergency Response Teams, which will be able to respond to simultaneous attacks in multiple sites, will be increased.

The new SG Secure initiative will sensitise Singaporeans to the terror threat, while agencies will also tap data from traffic cameras and the ERP system to track travel patterns of suspicious individuals.
