SINGAPORE - The National Parks Board has added two more sessions for a guided tour of its Pasir Panjang Nursery.

The 12ha plot is the agency's only nursery, and grows more than 3,000 species of trees, shrubs, aquatic plants, palms and other plants. It supplies close to 200,000 plants annually to green Singapore's roads and parks.

The agency added the two sessions after 60 places in the original 9am sessions were snapped up within hours of the tour's announcement on Nov 8.

The new sessions are at 10.30am and 2.30pm on November 15, and will have 75 places and 50 places respectively.

The tour is free but prior registration is required.

To register, email nparks_urban_gardening@nparks.gov.sg with your name, e-mail address and contact number.

Registration for the additional sessions opens at 9pm on Sunday.
