More checks at Changi?

There may be additional security screening for travellers arriving at Changi Airport in future, such as repeat passport checks.

Over the past few months, some passengers at Terminal 3 had their passports screened soon after they landed, as part of a trial conducted by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), which ended last month.

The ICA said the trial was aimed at enhancing security at the airport, but did not comment further on whether it plans to eventually introduce such checks for all arriving passengers.
