MND seeks feedback on merger of two-room and studio apartment schemes via Facebook

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of National Development is calling for public feedback on the upcoming merger of the Housing Board's two-room flats and studio apartments - on Facebook.

The next Build-to-Order exercise in September will feature new "two-room flexi" flats with flexible lease tenures, replacing the separate schemes of two-room flats which are sold on 99-year-leases only, and studio apartments which are sold on 30-year leases. The two existing flat types come in the same two sizes of 36sqm and 45sqm.

On Tuesday night, the MND encouraged the public to share their views on the upcoming scheme by commenting on its Facebook post or emailing feedback@mnd.gov.sg

The Facebook post was accompanied by pictures of tables showing the different features and eligibility criteria for the existing schemes.
