SINGAPORE - Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Sam Tan will speak at a conference on Arctic issues during a visit to Norway from Jan 18 to 22.

Mr Tan, who is also Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, will also meet with Arctic interlocutors like Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister Borge Brende on the sidelines of the 9th Arctic Frontiers conference in Tromso, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Saturday.

This is the first time Singapore is attending the conference, which was attended by more than 1,400 participants from 31 countries in 2014.

Mr Tan will also visit Karasjok and Oslo.
