Mendaki launches new student care centre for primary schools

Mendaki launched its first school-based student care centre at Blangah Rise Primary School under its subsidiary, SENSE, on Monday.

SENSE, which stands for Social Enterprise Network Singapore, will pilot another school-based student care centre in the next two years.

Named Champs Network, the centres will focus on three groups of children: students with learning needs, students from low-income families whose mothers need to go to work, and students identified by the school as needing further care.

The student care centre at Blangah Rise can accommodate about 90 pupils. Currently, some 50 pupils are enrolled there.
