An artist's impression of a set of two coins featuring native orchids in colour, launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. They are the fifth and last in an annual series that pays tribute to the beauty of orchids.

The 2015 Native Orchids of Singapore coins feature the Dendrobium leonis and the Dendrobium secundum. They can be purchased individually, or as a set and each coin has a face value of $5.

There will be 10,000 pieces of each individual design, 3,000 pieces of the set, and 500 pieces of specially selected coins in each design encased in a capsule.

At the e-shop of the Singapore Mint, the individual coins cost $128 each, while the 2-in-1 set costs $258.

The specially selected coins may be subject to balloting.

The coins will be issued on Nov 13. Orders must reach The Singapore Mint by Nov 9.
