The F1 Pit Building was transformed into an underwater wonderland last night, as 270 performers clad in frilly costumes mimicked colourful marine life such as corals.

Part of this year's Chingay National Education show, the fluid dance item was put on by Groove Dance School and community club dance troupe Bukit Panjang Charming Rainbow.

Some 10,000 primary and secondary school students, along with Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Social and Family Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, caught yesterday's performance.

This year's Chingay Parade, an annual street procession to mark the Chinese New Year, will take place on Feb 19 and 20.
