National Wages Council invites public views on annual guidelines

SINGAPORE - The National Wages Council (NWC), which issues annual guidelines on salary-related matters, will begin deliberations in April, and it is seeking views from the public.

Comprising employers, union and government representatives, the council considers factors such as Singapore's economic performance, domestic and global economic outlook and labour market conditions before it makes its recommendations.

Members of the public are invited to give their take on what could be included. Feedback, which should be received by Apr 18 will be considered by the NWC as part of its deliberations.

Snail-mail submissions should be addressed and sent to The Secretary, National Wages Council, c/o Manpower Planning and Policy Division, 18 Havelock Road, #07-01, Singapore 059764.
