SINGAPORE - A 38-year-old man lost control of his car and literally ended up stuck between a rock and a hard place at Edgefield Plains in Punggol at about 2am on Thursday (March 2).

Photos from Facebook page Singapore Taxi Driver showed the badly damaged car wedged between a concrete roadside barrier and the walkway railing.

The trail of damage left by the car also included a nearby "Stop" sign, which was uprooted.

The man, reportedly a private-hire driver, escaped serious injury and was quickly pulled out from the vehicle by nearby members of the public.

An eyewitness told Shin Min Daily News: "The driver did not appear to have any wounds, but he did look terrified."

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that the man was admitted into Changi General Hospital.

Police said that investigations are ongoing.
