Man hurt after lorry crashes into tree at Tampines

SINGAPORE - One man was hurt when a lorry collided with a tree in Tampines on Sunday morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was informed about the accident at the junction of Tampines Avenue 4 and Avenue 5 at 6.34am.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Changi General Hospital, SCDF said.

A witness told Lianhe Wanbao that the lorry driver was trapped in the vehicle. SCDF officers released the driver using hydraulic tools.

The SCDF sent an ambulance, a fire engine, one red Rhino and two support vehicles to the scene.
