SINGAPORE - While investigating an incident caught on video of a woman being dragged violently into an apartment by a man, the police found drugs on their premises.

Police said that it received a call for help at a residential unit along Rangoon Road at about 9am on Monday (Feb 29).

"Upon arrival, drug paraphernalia and suspected controlled substances were found in the premises," it added.

A 43-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested.

Closed circuit television footage that was posted on Facebook on Friday (March 4) showed a man, whose arms and back were tattooed, dragging a woman from a lift landing into an apartment.

He dragged her by her wrists, but she kicked him and resisted. He then tried to drag her by her ankles.

When she continued to struggle, he grabbed her hair and she appeared to hit her head against the walls of the corridor a few times.

She had a towel wrapped around her which fell as they struggled.

The video is close to 40 seconds long.

The uploader of the video said in her Facebook post that the police was notified and she asked her Facebook followers to share the video and comment if they have "helpful information".

"The police has been notified and I think this will be of interest to AWARE Singapore, Project X - Singapore and Stoptraffickingsg," she wrote.

Police said investigations are ongoing.
