A man was charged in court on Thursday with the murder of a production technician together with unknown persons.

No plea was taken from Chia Kee Chen, 53.

He allegedly caused the death of Mr Dexmon Chua Yizhi, 37, at a multi-storey carpark at Block 429A Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4 between Dec 28 and 29.

Mr Chua's body, with his hands bound, was found in a military training area in thick bushes in Lim Chu Kang .

He was reported missing on Sunday when he did not return home the previous day. He was last seen at Cheong Chin Nam Road in Bukit Timah at 9.44pm last Saturday.

Chia was remanded at Central Police Division lock-up for investigation.

His case will be mentioned on Jan 9.

If convicted of murder, he could be sentenced to death or jailed for life and punished with caning.
