Man arrested for unlawful entry into Singapore

SINGAPORE - A 22-year-old man was arrested by the Police Coast Guard for for unlawful entry into Singapore on Monday (May 2).

The coast guard detected the swimmer at the sea of Gedong at about 12.46am, police said in a statement.

They successfully intercepted and arrested the man 10 minutes later.

Commander of the Police Coast Guard, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Hsu Sin Yun said: "I wish to commend my officers for their vigilance and swift action resulting in this successful arrest. PCG will spare no efforts to keep out intruders and ensure the safety and security of Singapore waters."
