The police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a theft case in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A 33-year-old victim had reported that he had been exercising at a gym in Raffles Boulevard, and had left his belongings in the gym's locker, said a police statement. After the training session, the victim realised his mobile phone, wallet, and personal documents placed inside the locker were missing.
Officers from the Central Police Division managed to identify the suspect, and arrested him during an operation around South Bridge Road, shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Preliminary investigations also indicate that the suspect may have been involved in other similar theft cases.
Police have advised members of public to be mindful of their valuables to prevent theft.
