Police have arrested a 32-year-old Singaporean male who is believed to be involved in a series of cases whereby alcoholic beverages valued at over S$800 were stolen.
He is suspected of committing at least four such offences in the Jurong West area.
From late January to early February this year, several shopkeepers in the Jurong West reported instances of stolen alcohol to the police. Subsequent enquiries led to the suspect's arrest on Feb 4 in the vicinity of Dover Road.
If convicted of theft, the suspect could be sentenced to a maximum of seven years in jail and fined.
