Man arrested after brandishing knife during family dispute in Toa Payoh

SINGAPORE - A 57-year-old man was arrested after allegedly brandishing a knife at his wife during dispute in Toa Payoh on Sunday (Oct 22) night.

The quarrel broke out at a flat in Block 85, Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, around 10.20pm.

The Straits Times understands that the man had quarrelled with his wife and threatened to hurt her during the dispute, waving a knife at her.

Their children called the police, Shin Min Daily News said in a report on Monday.

The police told ST that they were alerted to a case of criminal intimidation at that location at 10.19pm.

"A 57-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case," said the police spokesman.

Police investigations are ongoing.
