Lorry catches fire in Changi North Crescent, no one hurt

SINGAPORE - A lorry caught fire in Changi North Crescent on Friday (March 2), sending thick plumes of black smoke in the air.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a vehicle on fire at about 2pm.

The fire was extinguished by SCDF using two water jets and no injuries were reported.

In videos sent to The Straits Times and shared online, the lorry can be seen parked at the side of the road and engulfed in flames.

A team of firefighters arrived at the scene and they were able to quickly put out the blaze.

It is unclear where the lorry driver was when the video was taken.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
