SINGAPORE - What better way to chase away the Monday blues than a free breakfast? Many people here started their week with the National Breakfast Day at McDonald's.
Most participating outlets started giving out free wholegrain Egg McMuffins at 6am. More than 120,000 of the buns are expected to be given out till 11am, or while stocks last, according to the McDonald's Singapore website.
The website added that the breakfast menu will be available till 5pm on Monday, although some outlets will serve corn instead of hashbrown after 11am.
When The Straits Times visited an outlet in Hougang at 6.30am, more than 300 people were seen queueing for the muffins.
Outlets not participating in the giveaway include those at Changi Transit Terminal 2, Clementi Avenue 3 and KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
By 11am, all 120,000 Egg McMuffins have been given out, according to a McDonald's spokesman.
