Long crawl to Singapore

There were long lines of vehicles on the Causeway heading towards the Woodlands Checkpoint yesterday morning. On Thursday, the massive jams, often stretching the Causeway's entire 1km length, had forced hundreds of people to cross it on foot. The situation has been blamed on heightened security at the Singapore checkpoints following the terrorist attacks in Paris last month, and heavier traffic due to the school holidays. The Johor Democratic Action Party has called for a ministerial discussion between Malaysia and Singapore on the issue.
