Local football news website kallangroar.com was hacked on Wednesday by a group calling itself the Myanmar Muslim Cyber Force, ahead of a night-time Merdeka Cup match between the Singapore and Myanmar under-23 teams.

The group stated on the defaced site that it would hack the social media accounts and emails of "all racist people", and warned others not to retaliate.

A Kallangroar.com Facebook administrator said in a message on its Facebook page that they will look into the site and server in the evening.

Earlier this month, City Harvest Church co-founder and pop singer Ho Yeow Sun's website was hacked, while traditional Chinese medicine firm Eu Yan Sang's site was also hacked in June.
