Light wear LED way to record-breaking attempt

The Science Centre Singapore twinkled with coloured lights yesterday as some 160 students from 17 schools wore T-shirts studded with tiny LED lights. They were joined by 20 adults - teachers and Science Centre staff - in an attempt to set a local record for the biggest number of people wearing illuminated T-shirts. The event marked the close of the month-long Singapore Science Festival, which will end on Sunday. The students learnt to program and code the LED lights at workshops sponsored by Microsoft. They then personalised plain T-shirts with LED lights in a design of their choosing.
