To facilitate activities in the area, the extreme left lane of Raffles Avenue (between Bayfront Avenue and Esplanade Mall) will be closed to vehicles on Aug 7 from 7 pm to 11.30pm.

Access will be granted only to police and emergency vehicles. Policemen and Singapore Armed Forces marshals will be at the affected junctions to help and direct motorists.

There will also be traffic delays along Raffles Boulevard, Raffles Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Bayfront Ave, Marina Boulevard, Marina Gardens Drive, Marina Mall, Central Boulevard, Collyer Quay, Battery Road, Fullerton Road, Esplanade Drive, Stamford Road and Nicoll Highway.

During the day of the parade, Aug 9, additional traffic delays are expected along North Bridge Road, Bras Basah Road, Beach Road, Hill Street, Cecil Street, Mountbatten Road, Tanjong Rhu Road, Rhu Cross, Stadium Crescent, Stadium Walk and Stadium Way due to road closures.

Members of the public are advised to be vigilant and safeguard their belongings while in the area.

City Hall, Promenade and Bayfront MRTs are expected to be crowded once celebrations are over, and commuters are encouraged to head towards alternative train stations such as Raffles Place, Esplanade, Bugis or Clarke Quay.
