Lamborghini bursts into flames after crashing into lamp post

An orange Lamborghini sports car caught fire after it crashed into a lamp post outside an Etonhouse pre-school at Outram Road, at 3.40pm on Friday.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at 2.10 pm, when the sports car crashed into a lamp post. Although an ambulance was dispatched, the driver of the Lamborghini had declined to be taken to a hospital.

One and a half hours later, SCDF said it received another call for assistance as the sports car had caught fire in the same location. The fire was extinguished in 10 minutes. There were no injuries.

Separately, another fire occured about the same time at the SIM Global Education Centre at 100 Ulu Pandan Road.

SCDF said it received a call for assistance at 3.20pm. The incident occurred in a room in the student hostel.

Three Indian men and one Indian woman, in their early twenties, were sent to the National University Hospital for smoke inhalation.
