Parents who want to enrol their kids in Kindergarten 1 (K1) at the Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergartens can do so on April 4 and 5.

The registration exercise will be held from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm on the two days, MOE said. Parents have to go to the respective MOE kindergartens to register. MOE kindergarten registration is only open to children who are Singapore citizens or permanent residents born between Jan 2, 2010 and Jan 1, 2011.

There are five MOE kindergartens available for registration. MOE Kindergarten@ Blangah Rise has 60 places for admission in 2015 while the outlet at Dazhong has 80 places available. MOE Kindergarten@Farrer Park has 60 places while the outlets at Punggol View and Tampines have 120 and 60 places respectively.

The five kindergartens will hold an open house on March 1 from 9am to 11am. Parents can visit any of these kindergartens to learn more about the curriculum, programmes and facilities offered there. The open house will begin with a presentation at 9am, followed by a question-and-answer session, tour of the kindergarten and activities for the children.

Parents are advised to use public transport to get to the MOE kindergartens. Those who drive should park at nearby public car parks as there will be no parking within school premises, MOE said.
