Jiangxi and Suzhou Party Secretaries call on DPM Teo Chee Hean

SINGAPORE - Two Party Secretaries from China called on Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Friday morning.

When Jiangxi Party Secretary Qiang Wei called on Mr Teo, they discussed the growing economic ties between Singapore and Jiangxi and noted the potential for closer cooperation in areas such as trade, finance and human resource development.

Suzhou Party Secretary Shi Taifeng and Mr Teo reaffirmed the strong and longstanding cooperation between Singapore and Suzhou.

They noted that the Suzhou Industrial Park has enhanced the economic links, human resource development and people-to-people exchanges between Singapore and Suzhou.
