The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) General (GEN) Budiman called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at Mindef on Wednesday morning, marking the end of his three-day introductory visit to Singapore.

Gen Budiman also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Chee Meng and Chief of Army Major-General (MG) Ravinder Singh earlier on Wednesday, after inspecting a Guard-of-Honour.

On Tuesday, Gen Budiman and MG Ravinder Sigh co-officiated the closing ceremony of Exercise Safkar Indopura, an annual bilateral exercise between the Singapore Army and TNI-AD, and visited the Armour Headquarters at Sungei Gedong Camp.

The general's introductory visit underscores the strong and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Indonesia, said Mindef in a statement.
