SINGAPORE - When the Bedok Integrated Complex is completed in 2017, more housing units could be built in the area, said Senior Minister of State for National Development, Mr Lee Yi Shyan on Sunday.

The new complex will include a community club, a library and sporting facilities such as a swimming pool.

Hence the site of the existing swimming complex near Bedok MRT station could possibly be redeveloped for housing purposes, said Mr Lee.

He was speaking to the media at the opening ceremony of Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre.
