The latest launch of new Housing Board flats began yesterday, with 4,841 units on offer across five Build-to-Order (BTO) projects.
These include two projects in the mature estate of Tampines, which experts expect to be sought after.
But as of 5pm yesterday, Buangkok Woods in Hougang was proving the most popular, with six applicants for every 10 available units.
In a Facebook post, National Development Minister Lawrence Wong highlighted such flats, noting that a typical three-roomer in a non-mature estate like Hougang costs about $185,000 before grants.
In contrast, three-roomers in Tampines start at $202,000.
The BTO exercise runs until next Tuesday.
