Thirty beneficiaries of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) joined in the festive cheer at the grand atrium of The Fullerton Hotel yesterday evening.

At about 7pm, guests were treated to a dazzling candlelit march-in by handbell ringers, who performed The Little Drummer Boy.

Shortly after, they witnessed a Christmas light-up, as festive goodies such as mulled wine, hot chocolate and cookies were distributed.

The event is part of a series of initiatives by the hotel to raise about $50,000 for the fund during the festive season.

A charity buffet dinner, Fullerton Chefs for a Cause, was also held at the hotel's Town Restaurant yesterday evening. Chefs whipped up well-loved Italian pasta dishes on the spot.

The hotel would donate $25 to the SPMF for every patron at the charity dinner.
