NTUC package saves pioneers over $4.4m

Pioneers have saved more than $4.4 million at NTUC outlets between last October and this June, said NTUC Social Enterprises yesterday.

Its Pioneers OK! package, launched last October, offers seniors special Monday discounts, such as 3 per cent at NTUC FairPrice and 12 per cent at NTUC Foodfare.


Smart nation drive gets manpower boost

Local technology solutions provider NCS will train 100 graduates and young professionals in the infocommunications sector over two years, as part of a joint initiative with the Government to boost manpower for the smart nation drive. It is the latest firm to join the Infocomm Development Authority's company-led initiative, which helps companies recruit, mentor and train young professionals in the industry.


More realistic training in disaster relief

A new training programme that will simulate more realistic ground conditions in a disaster zone will be launched next year.

The outdoor scheme will be used to train emergency relief teams to handle situations with multiple casualties or overseas humanitarian missions.
