Motorcyclist jailed for breaking driver's nose
A 27-year-old motorcyclist broke a driver's nose in a carpark dispute earlier this year, a court heard.
Kathiravan Annamalai, a crane operator, was jailed on Wednesday for four weeks after pleading guilty to a charge of causing hurt.
The driver and Kathiravan had argued over a near-collision at a carpark at Block 154, Serangoon North Avenue 1, on Jan 19.
When the driver tried to take a photo of the motorcycle with his mobile phone, Kathiravan tried to push the phone away.
He then punched the driver in the face and continued to punch him even after the driver pushed him away.
Expect more rain and wind for rest of month
More showers and some gusty winds can be expected in the second half of the month, the National Environment Agency said yesterday.
Short showers due to strong convective heating during the day are expected in the late morning and afternoon. Widespread thundery showers with occasional gusty winds are also likely in the pre-dawn hours and morning, due to Sumatra squalls.
The rainfall for June is likely to be near average.
South-west monsoon conditions during the first half of the month are expected to persist. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 32 deg C and 33 deg C, and reach 34 deg C on a few days.
