HealthHub portal to be revamped

A revamped version of online portal HealthHub will be rolled out by the end of this year, said Health Minister Gan Kim Yong at the National Health IT Summit yesterday.

Among other things, it will allow patients to grant caregivers access to their health records and medical appointments. The portal has allowed people to track their own records since its launch in October last year.


Rejected: Bankruptcy suit against 9 ministers

The High Court yesterday threw out a bankruptcy application filed by a family of three against Cabinet ministers Tan Chuan-Jin, Lim Swee Say, Ng Eng Hen, Gan Kim Yong, Khaw Boon Wan, Lim Hng Kiang, Masagos Zulkifli, Vivian Balakrishnan and Yaacob Ibrahim.

The Attorney-General's Chambers applied to strike out the application, arguing that it was frivolous and an abuse of the court process.

The trio had made various allegations against the ministers for alleged lapses in their ministries or statutory boards, and claimed that the ministers personally owed them money. The ministers did not press for costs and the court made no order for costs.


HSBC raises $140,000 for two charity funds

HSBC Singapore has raised more than $140,000 through donations from the bank and various fund-raising efforts by its staff for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.

Yesterday, the bank's staff also helped to clean up and paint the homes of low-income families.
