A-level results out next Friday

The 2016 GCE A-level examination results will be released next Friday.

Candidates from schools may collect their result slips from their respective schools on that day, from 2.30pm onwards.

Private candidates will be notified of their results by post. Those private candidates who are eligible for SingPass can also use their accounts to obtain their results online.


104 suspects nabbed in drug raid

More than $120,000 worth of drugs were seized and 104 suspected drug offenders arrested in an 11-day islandwide operation by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).

The operation, conducted from Feb 6 till yesterday, covered areas including Bishan, Balestier, Chua Chu Kang, Hougang, Jurong, Kaki Bukit, Marsiling, Toa Payoh and Ubi.

About 1,200g of heroin, 190g of cannabis, 150g of "ice" or methamphetamine, 365 Ecstasy tablets, 136 Erimin-5 tablets and 38 LSD stamps were seized, said CNB in a press release yesterday.
