'Hit-and-run' cabby sacked

A "hit-and-run" cabby has been sacked by ComfortDelGro after a video of him reversing into a parked car emerged online.

More than 14,000 people have shared the clip of a yellow CityCab speeding backwards into a stationary vehicle in Redhill.

The impact of the crash lifted the parked car partially off the ground, badly denting its left door in the process. The taxi then sped off.

Social media users criticised the driver for shirking responsibility.

ComfortDelGro said: "For driving recklessly, we have terminated the hiring agreement of the cabby."
