Home dialysis push amid NKF space crunch

Two years ago, Madam Chang Bee Ling's kidneys failed. The 75-year-old opted for a form of dialysis that allows her to hook herself up to a machine at home. But it is uncommon here as most patients prefer to have it done by staff at centres.

However, with the rising number of Singaporeans with kidney failure, there is mounting pressure on dialysis centres. Singapore's largest provider of dialysis treatment National Kidney Foundation reveals it is running short of space for new patients.
