Learn how to identify common childhood diseases, what you can do about them and how you can prevent their spread.

This talk will be conducted by Dr Rajeev Ramachandran, a consultant at National University Hospital's (NUH) department of paediatrics.

HOW RADIOTHERAPY WORKS

Learn about the different types of radiotherapy, which uses radiation to kill or shrink cancerous cells, at this talk called Radiotherapy for Palliation of Cancer. Dr Lee Kuo Ann, a consultant radiation oncologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, will also talk about the machines used.

FREE HEALTH CHECKS FOR YUHUA RESIDENTS

Sata CommHealth is offering basic health checks at the Jurong East Community Health Day Open House.

Includes tests for blood pressure and blood glucose. Those with a doctor's referral can do other tests, such as diabetic foot screening. There will also be talks on fall prevention, an art therapy demonstration and more.
