SINGAPORE - Minister of State for Health Lam Pin Min will host a live Facebook chat with the public on Monday (May 30) to discuss how Singapore's children and youth can have better health.

In a press release on Sunday, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said it would welcome parents and caregivers to participate and share their views during the chat.

The chat is part of an eight-week long public consultation called NurtureSG, which was launched on April 24.

It aims to garner suggestions on how the authorities can "build a strong foundation for better health among our children and youth".

The NurtureSG taskforce is chaired by Dr Lam and Minister of State for Education Janil Puthucheary.

Dr Lam's chat will cover key areas of health concern among the young, MOH said. These include physical activity, nutrition, mental well-being, myopia and oral health.

Those interested in taking part in the chat can go to the Reach Singapore Facebook page from 7.30pm to 9pm on Monday.

The public can also participate in NurtureSG's online public consultation till June 19 here and register for the various engagement sessions held throughout the eight weeks here.
