SINGAPORE - Ang Mo Kio polyclinic has come out tops among Singapore's 18 polyclinics in the latest patient satisfaction survey.

It got the thumbs up from 91 per cent of patients last year, up from 76 per cent in 2012. The polyclinic is planning an upgrade next year.

In last place was Bedok, scoring 65 per cent, down from 79 per cent in 2012.

The Ministry of Health interviewed more than 12,000 people for the survey.

Overall satisfaction with public healthcare services remained at 77 per cent, as in 2012, though 79 per cent last year said the service they received was above their expectations compared to only 75 per cent in 2012.

The emergency departments at Changi General and Khoo Teck Puat hospitals, which are both facing a severe bed crunch, fared marginally worse last year.
